I fix things that were built before surface mount got small, mostly audio, occasionally whatever a friend drops off. This is not a business — there is no rate card and no contact form, and I turn down more than I take.

why write it down

Because I kept re-deriving the same diagnostics. The 120 Hz versus 60 Hz distinction in a hum fault took me three separate evenings across two years before it stuck. Now it is on a page and it takes ten seconds.

numbers

Measurements are from my equipment, which is mid-range and calibrated by nothing more than comparison against a second meter. Where a reading matters I say what I measured it with.
